The Singapore Saree - Jubilee Collection – Ok Lah !
29 Apr 2000 – Speak Good English Movement is launched by then-Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong
Despite the government’s campaign for Singaporeans to communicate in a more universally understood standard of English, the use of our colloquial Singlish to say the most using the least number of words is a proverbial habit.
OK LAH! features the most commonly used Singlish words to bring out the uniqueness, diversity and adaptability of Singaporeans which just like Singlish, is harmoniously made up of a mixture of English, Mandarin, Tamil, Malay, and even other local dialects like Hokkien, Cantonese and Teochew.
Designer's Tip: Be daring and tie it short, over high-cut boots!
